Group Guidelines

As Mothers, Nothing is more important to us than our children's Safety, Health, and Happiness We hope that you feel the same way. To ensure our group maintains a safe, healthy, and happy environment we have implemented these minimal guidelines for the group members.

For Our Safety

New Members Policy

To keep lurkers and potentially harmful people away from the sensitive information shared through our pages, our group is private. In order to join and gain access to the group's pages (including the calendar, message board, and phone list, etc) potential members are ask to attend one event before joining. This will be coordinated by our organizer.

Sharing Group Information

Information we share here is private, for the safety of our members. Members are not to share sensitive information from the group's profiles, message boards, or calendar. Our events do welcome any mom and child(ren), however if an event is to be copied onto an other site (be it meetup, facebook, etc), the poster must have permission from the organizer to copy that event.

Guest Policy

We welcome guests at the following circumstances:

1. other moms (and children, unless it's a Mom's only event)- Moms are welcome as a guest to any event, provided the organizer knows. Children are welcome provided it is not a Mom's only event.

2. Dads- Dads are welcome to attend our weekend events or family nights, provided the organizer is aware.

3. Other guests are not permitted unless otherwise specified in the event description, or permission from the organizer.

For Our Health

Sick Policy*

It's so sad to see our little ones get sick....to keep our group healthy, we ask that if a member is feeling ill, to take the time to recover in the comfort of their home. Please stay at home if you or your child has one of the following symptoms.

1. A fever above 99 degrees (Do not return to playgroup activities until the child is fever free for 24 hours without the influence of fever reducers. (Tylenol, motrin, etc)
2. Bodily Fluid symptoms including but not limited to, diarrhea, throwing up, and a runny nose that is tinted green or yellowish.
3. Has a contagious disease including but not limited to, chicken pox, pink eye, hand, foot and mouth, etc. (please do not return to the playgroup activities until you have seen the doctor and given the go ahead)
4. Not acting healthy

*If you or your child becomes ill, please drop out of any event taking place within the next three days. This will prevent you from canceling last minute. Remember in most cases, if your child recovers quickly, you can always change your RSVP back to yes.

** If you are hosting an event and you or your child becomes ill, please contact the organizer ASAP.

For our Happiness

Drama Policy

Drama is a part of life. It's unavoidable. Sometimes it effects us so badly that we reduce ourselves to gossiping, name calling, and fighting. It can bring a negative tone to the group and atmosphere. Drama can be minimized, which is why, for the benefit of the group, we ask if you are experiencing some drama to keep it out of the group.

Please Do NOT

1. Vent to group members about other group members(Husbands and Mother In Laws ok!wink at minimal amounts). If members have a problem with each other they are asked to work it out in an adult way outside of the group.

2. Dispute on the message board. We share opinions openly, however if a member has a problem with the organization of the group please contact the organizer. Likewise if something is posted on the message board that is offensive, contact the organizer.

3. Avoid acting cliquish- We encourage all members to find good friends within the group and have private playdates. We are all mature women, and this is what the group is all about. However, there is a difference between having good friends in the group and acting cliquish--It can cause a split in the group, and add unnecessary tension. When attending events, please introduce yourself to new members and get to know them. Participate in socializing with the group rather than sectioning off with a few members you are closer to. Lastly, please keep "inside jokes" and such with members you see outside of the group for your own private playdates.

These are just a few ways to minimize the drama in all our lives. Please do your best to help maintain a happy group.

RSVP policy

Please treat your RSVPs as you would an appointment or a date with a friend. If you have to change your RSVP within two days before the event or need to cancel last minute, call the hostess or the organizer.

Absences are the same as being 'stood up' and will not be tolerated. If a member no-shows to an event, and becomes unreachable, they will be excused from their membership.

The Organizer of this group reserves the right to excuse any member from the group at any time at their discretion. By joining this group, you are agreeing to adhere to these guidelines. Suggestions are always welcome to improve the group, it's guidelines, etc. Questions and concerns should be taken to the organizer.

Home Parties

We receive many requests to post home business parties on the calendar. The volume of these requests have increased with time. We do not want our members to become confused on why we are here, so all home-based business parties will be posted as a note on the calendar, and only senior members that are hosting a party can invite from the message board (no consultants, please; Remember, there is the opportunity to become a sponsor as well!)
